Bio:
Kit Curry is an artist and illustrator based in Berkshire County, Massachusetts.
Kit draws inspiration from those primordial beliefs — animism, apocalypticism, the occult —that so-called progress and enlightenment have failed to entirely exorcise. There's still a part of each of us that trembles in the dark, haunted by ghosts, gods, and spirits. Sometimes we need a reminder — sometimes we need a light in that darkness.
Largely self-taught, Kit credits their skill and knowledge to the writings of the great 20th century illustrators, including that of their great great grandfather Harvey Dunn. Kit’s work — be it in ink or etching, or even animated film or digital — always reflects this illustrative tradition.
